I have mixed feelings re: the low-fi aesthetic. While I appreciate artists who don't cover their songs in layers of smooth, lifeless production, low-fiers sometimes go to the other extreme: all noise and feedback but precious few actual tunes. If this nearly-catchy track from TNV's upcoming "Dancer Equired" is an indication, the band has avoided this trap.
