Lost classic of the week: "Seizure" by Chris Knox

In the '80s, Athens, GA was the center of the indie universe, but by Chris Knox's 1989's lp, the center of gravity had shifted to Christchurch, New Zealand, home of Flying Nun Records. The album's opener is his manifesto: he flies in the face of fashion. Watch the video for "Face of Fashion" here.

"Seizure" also features the gorgeous anti-love song love song, "Not Given Lightly."

Knox is so beloved that when he suffered a stroke in '09, such luminaries as Stephin Merritt and Yo La Tengo recorded a tribute album to fund his medical expenses.
