Lost classic of the week: "The Union Themes" by Lois Maffeo & Brendan Canty

Back in the '90s, when the indie poppers roamed free and music zines flowed like wine, DC had a burgeoning "alternative" scene. With the "The Union Themes" two of its mainstays, Fugazi's Brendan Canty and troubadour Lois, recorded 30 perfect minutes. The arrangements are decidedly low key, but heart rending just the same.
