Song of the day: "Irene" by Caetano Veloso

The New Yorker has a playlist for Hurricane Irene and I have to quibble with some of the choices. (The Carpenters for "The Storm of the Century"? Please.) Let me suggest this playful tune instead. Caetano named "Irene" after a criminal's "laughing" machine gun.

Enjoy and, if you're in Irene's path, stay safe.
