Grouper is a one-woman ambient powerhouse (I know, a contradiction in terms) from Portland, Oregon. Liz Harris' delicate tunes remind me of the Cocteau Twins at their best. (If, at this point, you ask, "Who the hell are the Cocteau Twins?" I'd suggest that you need a strong dose of 1984's Treasure stat!)
