I like my Aimee Mann to be sharp tongued, up-tempo, and hook filled, like she was in the '90s and early aughts. Since then, her music has tended toward a more somber vibe that, while good in its own way, wasn't always for me. Her new album, "Charmer," is a catchy return to form. As an added bonus, the new video features the lovely and talented John Hodgman and Laura Linney.
