I'll admit that I'm not a big fan of Justin Vernon solo material, especially his 2nd, nearly universally praised Bon Iver album. (By the way, there's an interesting post about the hazards of consensus musical taste on Everybody Taste, one of my favorite music blogs.)
However, the Shouting Matches--the new blues rock band featuring Vernon as well as members of Megafaun and Peter Wolf Cryer--strikes a chord with me.
