Happy iPod

There are times when my iPod and I don't get along, when it plays songs from the darker recesses of my music collection, ones that I'd just as soon forget.

Then, there I days when my iPod and I really click. Today was such a day, when every song was the best song there was, with the possible exception of the one that followed it. See below for the last ten songs from my happy iPod.

1. Bowie: Breaking Glass
Favorite line: "You're such a wonderful person / But you got problems"

2. LCD Soundsystem: Losing My Edge
Favorite line: "I hear you're buying a synthesizer and an arpeggiator and are throwing your computer out the window because you want to make something real. You want to make a Yaz record."

3. Deerhoof: Flower
Favorite line: "Kudzu, kudzu, kudzu"

4. Sonic Youth: Disconnection Notice
Favorite line: "Glossaries injected daily"

5. Spoon: Take the Fifth

6. PJ Harvey: Plants and Rags
Favorite line: "White and black / You looking for the sun, boy? / The sun doesn't shine down here"

7. XTC: When You're Near Me I Have Difficulty

1) Put your MP3 player on random
2) Write down the first 10 songs it plays (no skipping!)
3) List the songs in the comments

  1. Well I liked your songs a lot. This is my list (I really need to learn more about music but that's ok haha):

    *This Cold - John Frusciante
    *Try - The xx
    *Hummingbird - Wilco
    *Dialogue-Class Rank - Belle & Sebastian
*Put the Book Back On the Shelf - Belle & Sebastian
    *My First Mine - Pavement
    *The World's a Mess it's in My Kiss - X
    *Swing 41 - Django Reinhardt
*Puppet To the Man - Kurt Vile
*Funny Little Frog - Belle & Sebastian

As you see I've been re-listening much to B & S, may be good or bad. I discovered Pavement thanks to this radio.

  2. A very fine list, Federico!
