Is there something in the water in New Jersey (something else, I mean). 3 decades ago, Hoboken's The Feelies set the standard for low-key, trancey melodicism. (Another Hoboken band, Yo La Tengo, is also gently droney in its quieter moments). And now, their is the Garden State's new favorite sons, Real Estate, offering a similar mellow, melodic aesthetic. Their 2nd album is out today.
