Song of the day: "No Shelter" by Blouse

Blouse is a trio from Portland, Or. In a recent interview, they were asked the kind of pretentious question that frequently pops up on such occasions: "If the past, present and future music from Blouse could be summed up in a painting, what would that painting be?" Lead singer Charlie Hilton answered a silly question with a silly answer: "Ceci n’est pas une pipe." Her description of the meaning of this new song strikes a more serious note: "I felt pretty bad at the time and wanted to escape myself. The song is about the anxiety of not being able to do that." Blouse's new album, Imperium, comes out on September 17th.
